Fener refuse to sell Appiah

Fenerbahce have refused to release Stephen Appiah after he has requested a transfer. Arsenal are linked among Appiah's suitors and he was spotted at the Emirates on 2 occasions last season. Fenerbahce have claimed to have agreed a deal to keep the Ghanaian midfielder at the club, but these claims have been rejected by Appiah himself.

Appiah is wanted by several clubs around Europe, not just Arsenal. Schalke, Palermo and Villarreal are among some of the parties interested in the former Juventus midfielder.
