Manchester City are on the verge of landing Nigel De Jong from German side Hamburg, according to reports. It is understood that the Citizens are close to sealing a 15 million GBP deal for the Dutchman.
De Jong has been a revelation at Hamburg since joining from Ajax, but as expected, a high profile club made a move for the Dutchman this transfer window.
Man City are set to offer the player a lucrative contract to move to the City of Manchester.
Hamburg confirmed a deal was almost completed: "The clubs have agreed a fee. Nigel de Jong now has to reach agreement with Manchester City."
