Marc-Antoine Fortune is looking forward to linking up with Jay Simpson, after initial glimpses of the pairing together showed they could have a great partnership for West Brom.
Fortune quipped: "I enjoyed playing with Jay. He's a nice player and we combined well together.
"We showed good movement and tried to cause Middlesbrough problems. Middlesbrough's centre-halves are strong guys and it was a very physical game.
"I gave my best and we won. I'm very happy for the club and hope this helps towards us staying in the Premier League.
"I was not surprised to be starting because I came here to play and I was ready. I'm fit but I hadn't played in France for a while so I couldn't quite last the 90 minutes."
