Harewood wants Premiership stay

Harewood wants Premiership stay

21 January 2009 - 07:22

Aston Villa striker Marlon Harewood does not want to leave for a Championship club, according to the player's agent Peter Sproson. Cardiff had been linked with the forward.

  • Barcelona have genuine interest in Chelsea forward
  • Man Utd handed boost in signing West Ham star?
  • "Obviously that (the speculation) has come out of the fact that Sheffield United have sold James Beattie but Marlon won't go to Sheffield United," Sproson told the Birmingham Mail.

"It is totally out of the question. He won't go to the Championship.

"We are not exploring (the possibility of leaving). There has been a little bit of interest from one or two others but he is in no rush to leave Villa."
