Micheal Mifsud joins Barnsley

The Coventry striker Micheal Mifsud has joined Barnsley on a loan deal until the end of the season.

  • Micheal Mifsud, the Malta international striker, joined Championship club Barnsley from Coventry City. Although Barnsley wanted a permanent deal, Mifsud did not agree with the wages offered.



    The 27 year old is out of contract this year, has been performing well for Coventry City this season.



    He might be able to make his debut against Sheffield Wednesday on the coming Tuesday.



    Barnsley assistant manager Ryan Kidd said that his team needs hard working players like Mifsud.



    Barnsley has an in-form striker - Kayode Odejayi - whom many championship clubs are interested in signing.
