With only one hour remaining in the January transfer window, the biggest shock rumour of all has emerged from a few sources in Spain. It is understood that Man City are making an 11th hour offer for Spain international David Villa.

After City failed in their 107 million GBP move for Kaka earlier in the transfer window, City failed to find a replacement transfer target for the Brazilian.



However, City are now ready to test Valencia's resolve to hang on to their prized asset, and have offered a reported £40 million GBP with just one hour to go in the transfer window.
