Romanian defender Christian Chivu looks set to be joining Italian champions Inter Milan from rivals Roma. The deal is estimated to have set Inter back over 16m EUR and Chivu is regarded as one of the best defenders in the world at this moment in time.
Chivu's transfer has been one of the largest transfers to have taken place in Italian football this year, and strengthening the squad in defence is something Inter Milan were keen to do this summer. Their squad already looks very strong to retain the title next season.
Chivu, who has also played for Ajax, has signed a 5 year deal.
