Swindon Town goal getter Simon Cox is all set to sign for Celtic for a deal worth £1.2m although they had a bid rejected a few days ago. Leicester, West Ham and Bolton are also reported to be interested in signing the player.

  • Simon Cox scored 32 goals in this season for Swindon and has been a top transfer target for many Premier Leagues, although their chairman said that he is NOT for sale. However, Cox's agent Alex Cowdy publicly announced that he will sell Cox if his valuation of £2.5m is accepted.

He added that two offers from Celtic and Leicester City had been rejected, but, the player's interest in joining Celtic and the top flight football have given more weight to the increased speculation.

The latest reports suggest that Celtic is all set to capture the youngster for £1.2m.
