Birmingham eye South African Star

14 June 2009 - 05:28

The Premiership new boys are reportedly eyeing a swoop for the Two time South African footballer of the year, Teko Modise.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • Modise is currently plying his trade for local side Orlando Pirates but would love to secure a move to Europe.

With the upcoming Confederations Cup and the exposure that comes with it, it is thought that Birmingham are keen to tie up a move before the competition and any inevitable price increase that comes with.

The attacking midfielder nearly moved to Greece last summer and it is thought that the Blues may face stiff competition from Aston Villa and Wigan to land their man.

A price tag of some 3 million pounds has been mentioned.
