Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill could make a move for French midfielder Steed Malbranque, according to reports this morning. It is understood that Sunderland would be willing to listen to offers for the player that they only signed two years ago from Tottenham.
Sunderland are looking for a figure in the region of £4.5 million for Malbranque, and Aston Villa are ready to talk money with the Black Cats.
Malbranque showed last season that he is an integral part of the Sunderland line up, and despite his maturing years, he is still very much a Premiership quality footballer.
