Jermaine Jones to Wigan?

Wigan are one of a number of clubs in Europe who are closely monitoring Schalke 04's defensive midfielder Jermaine Jones. The German-American player is valued by his club at around 5.5 million GBP.

Jones has spent all of his career playing in the Bundesliga, with Eintracht Frankfurt, Leverkusen and now Schalke, but the player is keen to move to the Premiership.



Wigan are still looking to replace Wilson Palacios who left in January of last year, and the acquisition of Jones would represent good value for money.



Jones has already played three games for the Germany international side.
