Parma to land Christian Panucci

Serie A side Parma are close to sealing a move for Italian defender Christian Panucci, according to reports. The player is set to quit Roma but will get the chance to stay in the top flight that he craves.

The 36-year-old is a free agent after having his Roma contract expire at the end of last season.



Panucci has a growing reputation for being a goalscoring defender, and is set to have one last season in Serie A before hanging up his boots.



Panucci will earn a reported £30,000 per week to join the club.
