Liverpool chasing Matthew Upson

04 June 2010 - 08:01

There are rumours this morning that Liverpool will make Matthew Upson their major transfer target this summer. The England international defender is eager to leave West Ham and make a move to a bigger club.

  • Chelsea beat Inter Milan to sign £47m Italian star
  • Tottenham finally agree terms with Man Utd target
  • Liverpool are apparently ready to make an offer in the region of 15 million GBP for the former Arsenal and Luton defender.

Liverpool are currently without a coach, but according to reports, the board of directors have made Upson their number on target.

West Ham owners David Sullivan and David Gold are likely to be eager to keep hold of their prized asset and will shun any approach for Upson until their demands are met.
