Newcastle are being linked with a move for Brazilian young forward Wallyson of Cruzeiro. In his first year at the Brazilian side, the player was one of the top scorers in the top flight.
In 2009 the player, whose full name is Wallyson Ricardo Maciel Monteiro, was named as one of the breakout players in the Brazilian championship.
At Cruzeiro the forward has been given regular first-team action and the 22 year old has attracted interest from clubs all across Europe.
A bid in the region of £5 million will persuade the Brazilian side to do business for one of their star players.
