Reports from France suggest that Andre Villas-Boas, the Chelsea boss, has been considering an offer for Marseille midfielder Lucho Gonzalez in a £6m deal.
The 30 year old Argentine joined Marseille from Porto back in 2009, and has two years left on his current deal.
Despite his age, Villas-Boas is desperate to bring in some more experienced midfielders and Lucho was one of the stars of Ligue 1 last year.
However, the player has been quoted as saying he would be happy to stay put: "I don't know why there are so many things said about this at the moment. It annoys me a bit. At no time has it left my mouth that I wanted to leave or that I didn't feel good here. I have a contract with OM until 2013 and the people at the club seem happy with me."
