Marcos Senna has decided to sign a new contract with Villarreal, putting Swansea's transfer plans into disarray. The Spanish midfielder had been considering a move to the Premiership.

However, Senna has decided to extend his contract for another year, as announced on his Twitter account.



"I decided to accept the proposal of the Villarreal family and I thank Roig for his confidence,'' he said.
