Roma are apparently eager to sign Andrei Voronin from Liverpool. The forward had an impressive season last year at Hertha Berlin, and now Roma are interested in signing the player.
Andrei Voronin is desperate to return to Liverpool as he is becoming frustrated with life at Hertha Berlin, where he is spending a year long loan.
Ukrainian striker Andrei Voronin has been dealt the hammer blow that he will be out of action for up to six weeks with an ankle injury. The Liverpool striker, who joined in the summer, has fallen out of favour under Rafa Benitez lately.
Liverpool striker Andrei Voronin has insisted that Dirk Kuyt can help fire Liverpool to the Premiership title. Voronin is also enjoying the competition for places in the line up, and the Ukrainian has said there are no bad feelings over the competition.
Andrei Voronin has dedicated his goal in midweek to his newborn child whilst Rafa Benitez has praised his versatility: "He can do different roles for his team and I appreciate that because he has game intelligence and quality."
Scotland today welcome Ukraine to Hampden Park as they continue their miraculous qualification push. The Scots currently head Euro 2008 qualifying Group B with 21 points from nine games, ahead of France and Italy.
Rafa Benitez has claimed he is excited about the opportunity of working with five top strikers in Dirk Kuyt, Ryan Babel, Andrei Voronin, Fernando Torres and Peter Crouch. Benitez argued that competition will only be good for the club, however Rafa will struggle in finding the perfect combination of strikers for Liverpool whilst keeping them all happy.
