Harry Redknapp has praised Portsmouth striker Benjani Mwaruwari and the Portsmouth fans as they ended their goal drought and Benjani thumped home a hattrick against Derby today.
Fernando Torres gave Portsmouth a problem all afternoon as he grabbed a brace as Liverpool defeated Portsmouth 4-1. Yossi Benayoun also grabbed a goal, whilst Benjani got a consolation for the Southern side.
Two goals in the final ten minutes helped Portsmouth snatch victory over a poor Wigan side at the JJB Stadium. It took until the 81st minute for Benjani Mwaruwari to break the deadlock, converting Sulley Muntari's cross from the left. Glen Johnson then added the second to wrap up the points with just four minutes left after some poor defending from Wigan.
