Palermo defender Silvestre keen on switch
Palermo defender Matias Silvestre has been targeted by some of Europe's biggest clubs for a transfer in the summer transfer window, with Liverpool believed to be keen on the 27 year old.
The player's agent today admitted that a move for his client could be made soon. The 7.5 million rated defender was linked with a switch to Roma in January.
“He is tied to Palermo by a four-year deal, but I think he may receive a call from one of the big teams in June,” the player's agent, Fernando Cosentino revealed.
“Matias has done really well with Palermo from the start even though it wasn’t easy to make a move from Catania to the Rosanero.
“He’s happy at Palermo, but if an important offer arrived, and I think one will, we’ll all agree so that he could join a big club.”
