Arsenal attacker has game to forget with Belgium
Arsenal attacker Leandro Trossard had a dreadful outing for Belgium during their 6-0 World Cup qualifier win over Kazakhstan on Sunday evening.
Trossard got the nod in the starting XI for the game, but he did not make a single goal contribution in 63 minutes before he was replaced.
The Gunners ace won just three out of seven duels attempted with no successful dribbles (0/2). He lost possession on seven occasions.
Trossard was highlighted as disappointing by the Belgian media and his performance has not done any good for his selection prospects at Arsenal.
The Belgian has been out of contention for playing time in the last two games. He was an unused substitute against Liverpool where 15-year-old Max Dowman came off the bench.
Trossard now faces fierce competition on the left wing. In the past, he had only Gabriel Martinelli to compete with, but now faces fresh competition from Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze.
Arsenal host Nottingham Forest after the international break.
