44yo favourite to become Man Utd manager - Ornstein

Manchester United interim manager Michael Carrick is the frontrunner to become the permanent head coach, according to journalist David Ornstein.
The Red Devils have had a fantastic run of results since the turn of the year, and they are currently third in the league standings with 55 points.
The club have a seven-point lead over sixth-placed Chelsea and look the favourite to qualify from the chasing pack behind Arsenal and Manchester City.
Amidst this, Ornstein has now revealed that Carrick is the strong favourite to become the permanent head coach of the Red Devils in the summer.
There have been questions raised over his position after the last few winless games, but Ornstein has clarified that Carrick is the frontrunner for the role.
The 44-year-old has stabilised the club and brought them back into Champions League contention. He should get the job, provided they finish higher than sixth and qualify for Europe's elite competition next term.
