Ravel Morrison has returned to the Premier League.

The former Manchester United wonderkid has convinced Chris Wilder he is worth a deal at newly-promoted Sheffield United.

The nomadic attacker has spent the last few days of pre-season with the Blades and has impressed both with his attitude as well as talent.

Has landed him a one-year contract meaning Morrison could be playing top flight football in this country for the first time since August 2014.

There have never been any doubting the Mancunian’s ability.

Sir Alex Ferguson was blown away with his potential but was unable to turn that into performances and he was sold to West Ham in 2012.

The Hammers loaned him to Blues in the 2012/2013 campaign and Lee Clark was able to create an environment in which Morrison did well.

However, he returned to London and was subsequently sent out to QPR and Cardiff before Lazio signed him to a long-term deal in 2015.

He played just four Serie A games for the Rome-based outfit and was soon back at QPR on loan and in 2017 Harry Redknapp took him on trial.

Morrison attended Blues’ training camp in Austria and did reasonably well without ever dominating sessions or friendly matches.

A deal could not be struck and he then went to Mexico and - last season - Sweden. He did not return to Ostersunds this summer.

But he has pitched up at Bramall Lane as Wilder looks to bolster a squad that played expansive football en route to second place in the Championship last term.
