Morgan Schneiderlin has urged Everton teammate Romelu Lukaku to think carefully about leaving.
The Frenchman hardly played at Manchester United during 18 months there after a £25million move from Southampton, before escaping to Everton in January.
Lukaku is being linked with United, along with Chelsea.
Schneiderlin said: “I was very proud to sign for Manchester United, but when you are not playing, the only thing you have is the writing on Wikipedia.
“I just wanted to play football and to enjoy myself.
“I wouldn't make a decision for anyone. But I would tell them that you only realise how important it is for you to play football when you don't play every weekend.
“Romelu is a top scorer, but knows he can improve his game even more. So why not with Everton?"
