Tottenham striker Harry Kane says Dele Alli will learn from his red card shame.

Alli is facing a lengthy UEFA ban after his dismissal against AA Gent.

“He is gutted," said Kane. “Dele will learn from this. In European football when tackles go in like that you are more likely to get a red card. He feels like he has let us down a bit.

“I don't think there was any malice. He tried to get the ball and his foot has gone over a bit and caught his shin. It wasn't a great challenge but I don't think he meant to do it. It is something he will learn from and get experience from for the future."
