Bayern Munich and Tottenham are both contemplating a move for Paraguayan international midfielder Edgar Barreto. The 23-year-old only joined Reggina in the summer, but has impressed for Serie A's 19th placed club.

Since joining from NEC Nijmegen, Barreto has impressed several in the Italian leagues for his vision in attack without forgetting his responsibilities on the defensive side.

Reggina have suffered an awful start to their Serie A campaign, and Barreto is reportedly ready to move to a bigger club.

Whilst in the Eredivisie, Barreto was considered one of the best foreign imports which helped pave the way for a move to Reggina.

Tottenham and Bayern may have to pay up to £4.7 million to secure the signing of Barreto.
