Leicester, Arsenal pursue Las Palmas midfielder

Arsenal and English champions Leicester City have both enquired on the possibility of signing Las Palmas midfielder Roque Mesa. The Spaniard has been key to Los Amarillos' bright start to the campaign.

Mesa, who is normally a holding midfielder, has earned the plaudits following his exceptional showing in La Liga this season.

The Telde-born star is in the seventh season with Las Palmas, and the lure of featuring in the Premier League may be too good to ignore for the player, who has plyed his trade in the lower divisions of Spain.
