Joan Laporta believes that Barcelona could still take the La Liga title from Real Madrid in the remaining games of the season and that a win against Espanyol could be the perfect springboard to get their season on track.

"We have had physical problems and injuries, but now it is necessary to look forward. We will try to win everything with what we have," he told Sport.

When questioned whether winning 'everything' really included La Liga, Laporta stated his total confidence that the title is still up for grabs.

"I do not say it in order to create controversy: La Liga is not lost, I say that to you in all seriousness.

"We hope to win against Espanyol and for Madrid to drop points in Santander, and then we still have the game that we will win in the Bernabéu. In addition, they still have some tough games left, like Zaragoza it would be fantastic."
