Reading goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann has eyed Premiership survival in the last two games for his under-pressure Royals side. The American is confident of a third season in the top flight.

The keeper quipped: "You could look at the Wigan game and say it's two points dropped, but the point we did gain was so valuable because Birmingham drew and Fulham ended up winning.

"Staying ahead of Birmingham and Fulham is the ultimate goal here.

"We don't have to catch anyone else. All we have to do is stay above those two teams and that's going to be done by getting more points than them. It's as simple as that.

"Last week it was three games, now it's down to two games, and we're probably going to need a win and a draw or two wins.

"Who knows how they're going to do in their games? All we can do is play as well as we can, stick together and try to get a win this weekend against Tottenham.

"No matter what happens at the weekend, if we don't get anything from Tottenham we'll find ourselves in the bottom three, so we've got to get something.

"It isn't down to what anybody else does, it's only down to what we do."
