Outspoken French coach Raymond Domenech believes that his side are destined to win Euro 2008. The French side face the difficult looking group containing Italy, Holland and Romania; but Domenech remains confident.

The controversial coach made the bizarre decision to announce that the French were going to win the tournament.

"In the final we will play against Germany," quipped a confident Domenech.

"And we will win the trophy. The match we will play against Germany will be more delicate than the first one against Romania.

"They are not absolutely the team who are lacking most in our group and the initial matches are always dangerous."

Whatever the outcome, the 'group of death' of Euro 2008 is sure to be a cracker.
