Despite discussions with his club Ajax regarding a new contract, Klaas-Jan Huntelaar's agent Arnold Oosterveer has said that the Dutch striker would certainly consider a move to a club of Man Utd's calibre if a transfer offer was available.

Huntelaar had said that he was keen to play for incoming boss Marco van Basten at Ajax; but it seems as if the Dutchman may now consider an offer is there was one available.

"Klaas could make the step up to a top-level club in Europe this summer,” Arnold Oosterveer said inthe Daily Express. “He likes English football and watches Premiership football.

”Of course. He would love to join United. He wants to make the next step.

”A player who scores 33 goals in one season is interesting for every top club; Real Madrid are looking at him, as are a number of other European clubs.”
