No offers still for David Villa
Valencia hotshot David Villa’s agent, Jose Luis Tamargo has stated that at the moment there are no concrete offers from any club but has refused to confirm that the player shall remain at the club beyond the summer.
Villa is one of the best and most feared strikers in the world and is anticipated to move out of Valencia this summer after Valencia slumped to a disastrous season in La Liga this time. Valencia have only just staved off relegation into the Segunda Division and are in a financial crisis
To allay this financial problem, Los Che need to sell some of their major stars and 26-year old Villa is one such superstar whom Valencia can cash in on for a lumpsome amount this summer. The Spanish international has already hinted that he would like to move on to a club that has huge ambitions and that feature in the UEFA Champions League next season.
Villa’s agent Luis Tamargo though has admitted that so far the club hasn’t informed him of any offers from other clubs for the player. He told the Madrid based sports daily Marca:
“No-one at Valencia has informed me of any offers so far.
“Villa has a contract with Valencia until 2013 and he likes it here and he just wants to continue scoring.
“I have not had any news from the club regarding any offers so there wouldn’t be any point in asking them any questions over the issue.”
But Jose Luis Tamargo refused to state whether Villa shall stay on at the Mestalla or not. He remarked:
“Nothing is ever guaranteed in football, Villa is tranquil at the moment.
“I will not disclose any professional secrets regarding my client, but they will be known when the time comes, at the moment I don’t want to talk about this issue.”
A host of clubs is reportedly keen on landing David Villa in the summer. Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are leading the chase in Spain while Chelsea are trying to lure the striker to England.
