Brazilian international midfielder Ronaldinho has made his first statement as AC Milan player after he joined the Italian giants from FC Barcelona on Tuesday.

Milan and Barca eventually reached a deal after months of wrangling with Barce receive a potential 25 million euros as transfer fee and Milan agreeing to pay Ronaldinho 20 million euros over the next three years as part of his contract with the club.

Ronaldinho and Milan vice-president have reached Milan and the two times former FIFA World Player of the Year had this to say to the Italian sports daily La Gazzetta Dello Sport:

"Finally! Milan!

"Sorry if everyone had to wait for this. But the fact is I've always shown that Milan was my preference.

"I don't want to talk about Barcelona. I want to enjoy this new chapter in my life. I say only that I will promise Milan great effort, as well as technique."
