Alan Dzagoev
Many in Russia feel that Alan Dzagoev could be the future of the national team. The CSKA Moscow midfielder has proved at the tender age of 18 that he is capable of being one of the best in Europe.
In Russia, Dzagoev is regularly compared to legend Dimitri Loskov. The truth is, Dzagoev will probably be even better.
The youngster began his career at Krylia Sovetov, a Russian second division side, and at the age of 16 was already proving he was ready to be fast tracked to the Russian top flight.
CSKA Moscow jumped at the opportunity and signed him at just 17 years age, and he was immediately given first-team opportunities.
In the Russian Premiership the youngster has now shown his best abilities against the top sides. For example, against Spartak Moscow he grabbed three assists, and against UEFA Cup winners Zenit he bagged two goals in the 3-1 victory.
"About Alan I'll notice one important charactaristic. He was wonderfuly tought by his parents, and for that I would like to thank them from my name, and as I think, in the name of the whole Russian football. Another important thing, is that Alan is very hard-working and modest.", said the CSKA Moscow manager Valery Gazzaev of the player.
Dzagoev has an uncanny ability to find the net from distance, and is wonderful at set pieces. His passing range is excellent, his assist record in Russia is actually one of the best already.
At CSKA Moscow, with careful guidance, this player could become one of the greats.
There are already big clubs such as Chelsea showing an interest.
