Chelsea legend Marcel Desailly has insisted that the club must keep Didier Drogba for the new season if they are to fight for honours. Drogba had been linked with a move away earlier in the summer.
However, the Ivory Coast international is reportedly locked in contract talks at Stamford Bridge.
Desailly said of Drogba: "He's not the future, he knows that. He's the present and he's in hot form at present.
"But they want to win everything and he played 40 games at 32 years old and it's no problem for him."
