Pastore set to join PSG

01 August 2011 - 04:38

Javier Pastore looks set to complete a move to Paris St Germain, in a deal that will trump an offer from Chelsea. The Blues had been expected to land the midfielder in a 35m GBP deal, but PSG have won the race for his coveted signature.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Maurizio Zamparini the president of Palermo confirmed the deal: ''I spoke with Leonardo. I think this afternoon it will be an official communication on the website of PSG. It is between €42 and €43 million. Pastore is happy. I advised him to go to Paris because it is the most beautiful city in the world and I think the PSG will become one of the best clubs in the world with Leonardo and the Prince of Qatar.''
