Zhirkov to quit Chelsea

Yuri Zhirkov will quit Chelsea this summer, in a move that will see him move to Russia with Anzhi. According to reports, the transfer will be worth approximately 13m GBP for the Blues.

Anzhi defender RasimTagirbekov told Russian newspaper Izvestia: "Of course, Yury is a great player. Everybody in the team is very glad that he will join our club.



"This transfer will strengthen Anzhi a lot. Zhirkov has already managed to talk to the team's head coach Gadzhi Gadzhiev and practically all the players."



Zhirkov will undergo a medical in Russia on Wednesday.
