Zhirkov to quit Chelsea

Yuri Zhirkov will quit Chelsea this summer, in a move that will see him move to Russia with Anzhi. According to reports, the transfer will be worth approximately 13m GBP for the Blues.

  • Anzhi defender RasimTagirbekov told Russian newspaper Izvestia: "Of course, Yury is a great player. Everybody in the team is very glad that he will join our club.



    "This transfer will strengthen Anzhi a lot. Zhirkov has already managed to talk to the team's head coach Gadzhi Gadzhiev and practically all the players."



    Zhirkov will undergo a medical in Russia on Wednesday.
