Man City chief quiet on Nasri talk

Man City chief quiet on Nasri talk

16 August 2011 - 10:11

Manchester City chief executive Garry Cook remains tight lipped on talk that Samir Nasri will soon complete a 23m GBP move from Arsenal to the Etihad Stadium.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town
  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • Samir Nasri's contract at Arsenal will soon expire; and the Gunners are now ready to let him leave this season instead of on a free transfer next year.

The Frenchman took to Twitter last night and spoke of his disappointment that Arsenal fans were signing chants about him.

There remains uncertainty regarding the long term future of the France international.

However, chief executive Garry Cook will be patient, and said of a move for Nasri: "We always try not to disclose anything - obviously he's still an Arsenal player and we need to respect that."
