Odemwingie signs new WBA contract

Odemwingie signs new WBA contract

18 August 2011 - 20:32

Peter Odemwingie has put pen to paper on a new West Brom deal today. The Nigerian international forward has signed a deal until 2014.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Odemwingie had been linked with a move to Wigan, however this failed to materialize.

The player has been rewarded for his good form with a brand new contract.

Roy Hodgson revealed that he was happy to have tied the player down to a long term deal.

"I'm obviously very pleased that Peter has pledged his future to West Bromwich Albion," Hodgson told the club's official website. "I always believed this would be the case and I am grateful to both him and the club for reaching an agreement.

"We can now look forward to benefitting once again from Peter's goal-scoring prowess and seeing him play an important part in our campaign to stay in the Premier League for a second successive season."
