Liverpool are considering a move for Swedish defender Andreas Granqvist, currently playing for Genoa. The Swede only joined Genoa in June of this year, but Liverpool are ready to offer the Italian side a quick profit.
Granqvist joined Genoa for a reported 2m EUR back in June of this year, but Liverpool are already happy to spend more than 3.5m GBP for the Swedish defender who has 12 caps for his country.
Liverpool have been chasing Ryan Shawcross to fill the vacancy in the centre of defence; but look set to miss out on the Stoke player.
Therefore, Liverpool have switched their attentions to Granqvist.
