Liverpool to complete move for Sebastian Coates

Liverpool look set to complete a move for Uruguayan centre back Sebastian Coates, after a fee of 12m GBP was agreed with Coates' club, Nacional.

Liverpool had been linked with a move for Stoke defender Ryan Shawcross, but surprisingly went for 20 year old starlet Sebastian Coates. Coates recently impressed in Uruguay's successful Copa America campaign.



"An offer arrived from Liverpool," said Nacional chief Daniel Enriquez, of a move for Coates from Liverpool.



"We will discuss the final details of the transfer and an announcement will be made soon."
