Newcastle are making a bid for Lens centre back Darnel Situ, according to a report released in France. The Lens player is highly rated and valued at around 5m.

Man Utd had been linked with a move for Situ earlier in the summer, but it seems Alan Pardew has won the race to sign the burly centre back.



Situ has bags of potential and has captained France at every single youth level.



He has been spending a trial period at Newcastle and the club are convinced that he would be a great buy.
