Blackburn ready to strike deal for Vedad Ibisevic

26 August 2011 - 07:32

Blackburn are in advanced negotiations with Hoffenheim over the transfer of Vedad Ibisevic. The highly rated forward is valued by his club at around 8m GBP.

  • Emiliano Martinez to make Chelsea debut vs Arsenal?
  • Chelsea close to finalising deal for Monaco star
  • Blackburn have made initial offers of 5m GBP and 6m respectively, but have so far failed to reach an agreement with Hoffenheim.

Ibisevic arrived on the scene a few years ago as he became top scorer in the Bundesliga for high flying Hoffenheim. A severe injury left his season in doubt; and Ibisevic has struggled to rekindle that form that made him a hero to the Hoffenheim fans.

Blackburn will be undertaking medical examinations with Ibisevic next week and hope to tie up a deal for the forward before the transfer window slams shut.
