Joey Barton has completed his move from Newcastle to Queens Park Rangers on a free transfer, and the midfielder has signed a lucrative contract with the ambitious London club.
Barton had a number of disputes with the Newcastle board, and often turned to Twitter to publicly discuss these problems.
However, he has decided the time is right to quit Newcastle and has joined QPR.
Barton said of the move: "It's been quite a whirlwind, so to get things finally sorted is a great relief," he said. "The ambition of the club really impressed me.
"The Gaffer is talking about adding two or three more bodies and that, combined with the potential of the club and the new ownership's ambitions, bode really well for the future."
