Stoke City are in talks with Tottenham over a transfer for holding midfielder Wilson Palacios, and are hoping to tie up a move for the Honduran by Tuesday.
Palacios has fallen out of favour at White Hart Lane after the emergence of Sandro and Tom Huddlestone.
Palacios had been told at the beginning of the summer that he would struggle for regular first team action and that he was free to leave the club.
Stoke have reportedly had an offer of 5m GBP accepted for the Honduras international.
