Chelsea to make bid for van der Wiel

Chelsea are considering a move for Ajax defender Gregory van der Wiel, with some reports indicating an enormous offer of 24m GBP is on the cards.

It seems that Chelsea are on the lookout for a new full back and the impressive Ajax youngster is in Andre Villas-Boas' sights.



Gregory van der Wiel revealed on his Twitter account that he was flying into London; subsequently rumours of a potential move to Arsenal or Chelsea began.



However, Dutch reports have suggested that Chelsea is his next destination and that he will complete a transfer move to Stamford Bridge in the coming days.
