Christie contract hopes fade

09 October 2007 - 21:20

Malcolm Christie's chances of securing a permanent deal at ambitious side Hull City have taken a set back as the injury prone striker suffered another injury.

  • Enzo Fernandez wants to leave Chelsea
  • Man Utd set to hold contract talks with experienced star
  • Brown confirmed Christie will miss this week's reserve trip to Sheffield Wednesday and added that his future with the club hangs in the balance.

"He's not contracted to a club and he's been travelling in at his own cost every day," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail. "We'll wait and see where it goes and make sure we're professional by him."

Despite scoring twice in the second string's victory over Lincoln a fortnight ago, Christie has since struggled to get back to full fitness.
