Fulham missed out on Gignac

Fulham missed out on Gignac

10 September 2011 - 02:40

Fulham manager Martin Jol revealed the club missed out on signing Andre-Pierre Gignac on transfer deadline day, but could still try to sign the Frenchman in January.

  • Chelsea expected to sell striker after loan deal
  • Arsenal defender misses training ahead of Man Utd game

  • "It is always good to have a good look at the players again," Jol said.

"As you know, the transfer window is a madhouse in England and we had a very good relationship with the player, Gignac.

"He wanted to stay and didn't want to go back. First they said you can get him on loan and then they said 'No, we don't have another player for him,' so they called him back. That was pretty annoying."
