Pardew coy on Newcastles Europe ambition

Pardew coy on Newcastle's Europe ambition

23 September 2011 - 08:39

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew remains hopeful that his team can enjoy a successful season, but realistic about the Toon's European and Premier League ambitions.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • Alan Pardew's men currently lie fourth in the Premier League, despite a lack of transfer spending and Newcastle still unable to replace Andy Carroll who departed for Liverpool in January.

"We haven't really got that squad, I am sure of it, but I look around the building and I just see players in good form," Pardew said.

"But this Premier League is such that one game can knock that on its head, so you always have to be on your guard.

"It's heady heights for us, but we are not getting carried away because it is early days."
