Arsenal rekindle Mario Goetze interest

23 September 2011 - 09:12

Arsenal could make a surprise move for Germany international Mario Goetze when the transfer window reopens in January. Goetze helped Borussia Dortmund to the Bundesliga title last year.

  • Chelsea suffer big injury blow ahead of Everton game
  • Enzo Fernandez refuses to rule out Chelsea exit
  • And Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has taken the unusual step of revealing his admiration of the player to the press.

"He is a provider,” Wenger recently insisted. “He is the one who has the best assists in Germany and is the most dangerous player. He comes in from the right side and links in well with the strikers.”

Arsenal are being linked with a 35m GBP move for Goetze in January, whilst Bayern Munich are also still believed to be interested in the midfielder.
