Sunderland defender Titus Bramble has been bailed, after being arrested earlier in the week for sexual assault and possession of a Class A drug.
''A 30-year-old man from Wynyard has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and possession of a class A drug," read a Cleveland police force spokesperson.
Bramble seems to be set to face an internal club investigation.
A Sunderland spokesperson said:
"This is something we would be looking to address when we reconvene tomorrow morning.''
